Club Wyndham Message from Barry Robinson

 

After a year unlike any other, it is heartening to see Australia’s states beginning to ease their border restrictions and some corridors of international travel resuming service.

This has been an unpredictable year for both your club team and all Club Wyndham South Pacific owners. Thank you for your patience so far and your willingness to work with us as we have all adjusted to new ways of working and communicating. At times, travel restrictions have changed daily and/or on short notice, so our teams greatly appreciate your flexibility.

While some within the hospitality industry have gone into hibernation during COVID-19, our club teams chose to see it as a time to be creative and try to deliver better value where possible.

The operations team has fast-tracked projects to enhance your ownership, including:

  • Complimentary activities at resorts
  • Site improvements – for example, the Club Wyndham Seven Mile Beach hobby farm, the movie screen and fire pit at Ramada Phillip Island and the many projects underway at Club Wyndham Denarau Island
  • New cleaning protocols and procedures
  • Express check-in

This year, the project management team has worked on refurbishment projects across Ramada Resort by Wyndham Phillip Island, Club Wyndham Kirra Beach, Club Wyndham Ballarat, and Club Wyndham Dinner Plain, along with the new development at Club Wyndham Flynns Beach, which is close to completion.

Earlier in the year, the Responsible Entity Board approved Wyndham’s Finance team’s recommendation to deliver a levy offset at the height of the virus restrictions.

For months, the Club Wyndham TV team has provided light-hearted engagement to owners in lockdown and inspiration to travel for those who could do so. Going forward, the channel will keep running with content focused on your resorts, itinerary tips for travel and how to best utilise your ownership.

When Club Wyndham Melbourne re-opens in a few days’ time, all your Australian and New Zealand resorts will be open. Our teams are making a month-by-month decision about Club Wyndham Denarau Island and hope that international borders will ease so your destinations in Thailand, Indonesia, Europe and Japan will be widely available once again in 2021.

If you are also an RCI member, there are many options available to you across the South Pacific. If you need help utilising your RCI membership, the Owner Education team runs regular owner information sessions and I encourage you to book in to the next one by visiting the Owner Information Centre website.

All club owners are able to book 13 months in advance. If you are hesitant about travelling, your Owner Services team has the ability to change your reservation to another destination to take into account adjustments to border restrictions, even if your credits have expired.
