*Please note: Ramada Suites by Wyndham Zen Quarter Darwin is an Associate Resorts. Associate Resorts are made available to Club Wyndham South Pacific Premier owners by the Developer, Travel and Leisure Australia. Associate Resorts are not part of Club Wyndham South Pacific and are not owned by the Developer. Rather, the Developer has entered into agreements, which enable Premier Owners to stay in specific apartments at Associate Resorts using their vacation credits. Associate Resorts are offered to owners during a contracted period only and like all Developer benefits, can be added or removed and are subject to change at any time. Booking windows vary, depending on Lifestyle membership and tier.
Recently, our social media teams have received numerous questions about club inventory available on public websites and would like to take this opportunity to provide some clarification on these activities.
Under club rules, all owners are permitted to make reservations and sell them, so long as this does not represent an ongoing commercial enterprise. This club inventory available online may be:
• An owner selling their own reservation
• The club selling surplus inventory
• The Developer selling reservations made with its own or exchanged credits directly or through third party websites
In addition, some of the inventory that may be found online may be non-club inventory at resorts with apartments held by other owners. For example, Surfers Paradise and Port Douglas.
Both the Developer and the club are excluded from the ongoing commercial enterprise clause as these activities benefit all owners.
When the Developer provides owners benefits in exchange for credits – for example, Associate Resorts, Wyndham Rewards Exchange, cruises or Travel Exchange – the Developer is purchasing products or services at its own cost in exchange for owners’ credits. These exchanged credits are then used to book accommodation, allowing the Developer to recover the cost it incurred providing Developer benefits. These activities by the Developer are undertaken to recover the cost of providing the benefits rather than making any profit.
The Developer may sell the credits back to owners through Developer benefits like One Time or Fun Time. This Developer exchange mechanism gives owners more ways to use vacation credits while providing non-owners an opportunity to explore and potentially, join the club.
It is important to remember that the Developer makes reservations with credits it either holds in its own right or has been given through exchange – it does not make bookings without credits, or use artificial methods to create additional credits. New credits can only be issued as new inventory is added into the club and the number of credits issued must balance against the accommodation available. Developer reservations do not put additional pressure on availability. The Developer must also comply with the same booking rules as any Club Wyndham South Pacific owner when it makes bookings. The booking system rules apply to all bookings and cannot be overridden.
For more information on how developer exchanges work, we would encourage all owners to visit clubwyndhamsp.com, log in as an owner, then review the “Developer Benefits” question of the FAQs.
Club Wyndham Sydney is proud to unveil an Owner Meet & Greet with a difference – on an open-top, double-decker bus!
Every Wednesday, owners can meet at reception at 4.45pm and take a tour of the city together. There’s no eating and drinking while on the bus, but you will stop along the way and have the opportunity to share a drink with your fellow owners.
The property is also offering movie nights every Tuesday night – in the comfort of your resort! These will start at 5.30pm and you are welcome to bring your own alcohol but, no outside food.
Club Wyndham Dinner Plain’s restaurant and bar Elements has recently updated its dinner menu, while Club Wyndham Kirra Beach’s Kirra Kahuna Beach House has launched new breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks, and kids’ menus.
Menus for restaurants, cafes and bars run by your resort teams are available at each resort’s page on the club website. Lifestyle members can usually access a generous discount to these eateries – and several other restaurants, cafes and bars in your resorts that are managed by third parties.
We look forward to welcoming you to your resorts soon!
