THREE WEEKS.
THREE DESTINATIONS.
As a Club Wyndham South Pacific Owner, I recently embarked on what I can confidently call my best trip yet, a three-week journey across Japan. I stayed at three different Club Wyndham resorts and fully immersed myself in the culture, scenery, and local adventures.
I’m excited to share my journey and hopefully inspire you to explore Japan too. Here’s a look at my unforgettable adventure!

My trip began at Club Wyndham Chikumakan Nagano, right in the heart of Japan. The resort was traditional and cozy, offering such a warm and welcoming atmosphere that I felt instantly at home. During my stay, I explored local historical sites, enjoyed the peaceful onsen, and indulged in delicious meals at the resort, including regional Shinshu specialties.
With a car, I was able to visit Japan’s first national car museum, have lunch at a charming local restaurant, and explore a beautiful temple. Every day brought something new to discover, and the combination of cultural experiences and restful accommodations made my first week truly memorable.

Next, I moved on to Club Wyndham Sundance Lake Resort, a grand European-style hotel set in the hills, beautifully blended with Japanese style. The resort offered plenty of space to relax, with a serene atmosphere at 800 metres above sea level. I spent my days walking along scenic trails around the ponds, visiting a nearby modern art gallery, and even climbing an old volcano to take in breathtaking views.
The resort’s buffet restaurant offered an array of Japanese and Western dishes, while the onsen, sauna, and coffee shop became my favourite spots to unwind. I also enjoyed a lake cruise and tried the local ice creams, which added a sweet touch to my adventures.

For the final week of my journey, I stayed at Club Wyndham Sundance Resort Kawaguchiko, an intimate resort with easy access to local attractions. I explored walking trails with stunning views of Mt. Fuji, where the scenery included serene lakes, lush forests, and rolling countryside. Nearby, I visited the Kawaguchiko Music Forest Museum, a theme park and museum showcasing automatic musical instruments, all set against a stunning view of Mt. Fuji. I also discovered a charming Italian restaurant just across from the resort.
By staying at multiple resorts, I was able to experience different parts of Japan more fully, enjoying a mix of cultural sites, natural beauty, and relaxing accommodations.
A few tips from my trip: renting a car and learning some Japanese made traveling between resorts and exploring the local areas much easier, adding even more joy to the holiday.
My three-week journey was the perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and cultural immersion. I’m already planning my next three-week getaway in Japan in 2027, across three different Club Wyndham resorts!
