Angels Camp or the City of Angels is best known as the location for its annual Jumping Frog Jubilee. During this 4-day festival, California frogs are placed in a Frog Spa and are available for rent if you want to jump a frog. This is the longest running country fair in California and which comes with a demolition derby and classic entertainment.
Some of the Angels Camp attractions include the Historic Main Street in a classic old west architectural design. You can visit the boutique shops, dine in restaurants while having wine tasting. Angels Camp also has the New Melones Lake which is the 4th largest reservoir in California. Aside from its breathtaking scenery, it’s also perfect for camping, fishing, biking and equestrian trials.
