Update: International properties

COVID-19 travel restrictions are easing in most places around the world and demand for international travel is beginning to rise. Over the course of this year, the number of people travelling overseas is expected to increase sharply.

We are writing to provide an update on the status of the club’s international properties for those owners who are eager to travel overseas.

Some Club Wyndham South Pacific apartments are now available for booking at the resort; however, in the most recent Resort Report, we indicated that all 35 club apartments will undergo a staged refurbishment this year.

The refurbishment of the 35 club apartments will span the next few months. All bedding, furnishings, soft furnishings like curtains and some flooring will be replaced, while bathroom work will be conducted in some apartments.

We had planned to begin the refurbishment earlier but, until recently, there have been challenges around developing a reliable schedule, hiring contractors and importing décor like furniture, due to supply chain issues created by COVID-19.

Unlike Thailand, where international travel was manageable during COVID-19 – even if it was difficult – Bali experienced far more severe challenges. While it was possible to keep Club Wyndham Sea Pearl open in a reduced capacity, an economic decision was made to close Club Wyndham Dreamland Bali entirely.

However, the market is now showing signs of recovery and we anticipate that we will re-open by 1 September 2022 after restorative work to bring the resort public areas up to standard. During the closure the club units were maintained on a regular basis and are currently undergoing refurbishment in anticipation of the re-opening.

We apologise for any inconvenience. Apartments at the resort will remain locked for new reservations during this period. Owners with existing bookings at the resort will be given the opportunity to stay at either Wyndham Tamansari Jivva Resort Bali on the East Coast or Wyndham Garden Kuta Beach Bali, beachfront in Kuta, as an alternative. If you have a booking during that period, we would encourage you to contact Owner Services.

All European and Hawaiian properties are open and available for booking.

All Japanese properties are now open and available for booking.

Although the restrictions have eased and the world is learning to live with COVID-19, the situation is not completely behind us, especially when travelling. We encourage you to keep up-to-date on the travel protocols and vaccine requirements of your destination and your home.

Our international teams look forward to welcoming you soon.
