One of the few botanic gardens in the state, the Yampa River Botanic Park is a homage to the beautiful essence of Colorado’s natural world. Featuring six acres of ponds, berms, and gardens, its visitors are rewarded with perennial plants endemic to the area, as well as birds and insects that call the park home. Because of extreme winter conditions (temperatures as low as -40 degrees Celsius have been recorded), the YRBP is only open during the milder parts of the year.
