525 Kanehoricho, Funabashi, Chiba 274-0054, Japan
Located just an hour’s drive from Tokyo’s CBD, Funabashi Andersen Park is named after Hans Christian Andersen. Funabashi is actually the sister-city of Denmark’s Odense (the birthplace of Andersen), and the park is a celebration of the traditional Danish aesthetic. With a variety of beautiful trees and ponds, as well as Tudor-style windmills and shops, it’s a popular place for adults to decompress and for kids to have fun. Try the roller-slides, trampolines and water-play zones in summer, or visit some of the lovely flower gardens for some ’gram-worthy snaps.
