“Who Killed the Surveyor?” Mystery Dinner
Who Killed the Surveyor – a new murder mystery dinner set in 1859 on Norfolk Island. Go back in time and dine with the Chief Magistrate Frederick Young and his wife Mary. Frederick is hosting this dinner to honour His Excellency, Governor General Denison, who is making yet another visit to the island. A young English surveyor from Sydney is found washed up on the cove southeast of Point Hunter. Dine on a 3-course dinner while you help solve the mystery of “Who Killed the Surveyor?” The tour takes place in one of the original, elegantly restored Georgian houses at No. 9 Quality Row, on the beautiful Kingston foreshores.

Day 3: Monday, 23 February 2026 (B, D) Island Culture Tour
Our Island Culture Tour showcases our rich and diverse cultural heritage, from our Polynesian and Tahitian foremothers, our Bounty Mutineer forefathers, through to early influences of religion, and seafaring settlers joining our community, including American Indians, African Americans, Irish, English, Sami, and New Zealand Maori. You will be welcomed to an Island home steeped in history and gratitude for our forbears, see artifacts passed down through the generations, listen to and learn about our local language, fishing, whaling, weaving, cooking, and our service to conflict and how these influences have shaped our community as Norfolk Islanders today. This tour will show you how we, as Islanders, have evolved through the ages, living sustainably from the land and sea through the seasons, working with Mother Earth as one. You will get to sample some of our traditional seasonal dishes and try your hand at weaving, while relaxing in a tranquil, laid-back atmosphere.

Afternoon at Leisure then  Dinner at the Governor’s Lodge included

Day 4: Tuesday, 24 February 2026 (B, L, D)

Lavender Farm Tour & Lunch (incl Transfers)
The Lavender Farm Tour includes an informative talk on their journey setting up Norfolk Island’s first-ever Lavender Farm. You’ll hear about the challenges of importing bare-rooted plants into the island. Enjoy an easy walk around the farm with the Owner/s. Learn about the 15 different Lavender Varieties that have been planted. You’ll also see their other commercial plantings of Sage, Rosemary, Rose Geranium, Sunflowers, and other vegetables that are grown on Fitzy’s Farm for use in our ‘paddock to plate’ farm experience. The Lavender Farm Tour includes a Lavender & Blueberry Gelato (or another flavour of your choice) in a Waffle Cone. Sorbet (Dairy Free & Gluten Free Cones Available) on request. A gift shop is available for purchasing our locally made products after the tour. Credit Card facilities are available.

Progressive Dinner (incl Transfers)
The Progressive Dinner comes highly recommended for any Norfolk Island itinerary. It’s the perfect way to get a taste of the real Norfolk lifestyle. Baunti’s progressive dinner takes you to some lovely homes on the island. All you have to do is relax and enjoy the home-cooked food, bursting with the goodness of fresh island produce. Chat with your fellow diners and soak up the stories of your island hosts. They’ll share their passion for their little island paradise. A complimentary glass of wine or juice accompanies the main course, and tea and coffee are served with dessert. You are welcome to BYO if you wish.

Day 5: Wednesday 25 February 2026 (B, D)
Colleen McCullough Home Tour
The Colleen McCullough Tour gives you a glimpse into the life of this modern-day literary icon. The world-renowned author called Norfolk Island home for almost 36 years. She and her husband, Norfolk Islander Ric Robinson, created a luxurious hideaway here. They maintained their privacy to ensure Colleen had the perfect environment for her writing. And it worked; she created some of her most powerful titles in their little sanctuary. Her beloved property, “Out Yenna,” is now open exclusively to Baunti Tours customers. Our escorted tour will take you through her magnificent home, see where Colleen worked on her novels. In addition, you’ll get to view Ric and Colleen’s priceless collection of artefacts gathered on their travels all over the world. Colleen authored some 27 books during her lifetime and was halfway through another at the time of her passing. Some of the more noteworthy, for instance, include “Tim”, “The Thorn Birds”, and “Morgan’s Run”. So, if you have read her amazing books, you will love the experience of sharing her world on the Colleen McCullough Tour.

Pitcairn Settlers Village (short stroll across the road)
Visit the Pitcairn Settlers Village. Here you’ll experience the proud history of the Pitcairn Island Settlers. Your guided tour will take you through the gracious original Bailey homestead & gardens. Then on to a stroll through the barn, dairy, and outbuildings. Wander through the Museum filled with items of nostalgic and historic interest. See the oldest working forge in the Pacific. After that, there’s an ex-New Zealand-Army hut, with wartime memorabilia. And finally, there’s an exclusive film of Norfolk Island interest and complimentary refreshments.

Commandants’ Dinner & Show
The Commandant’s Dinner and Show is a night of great entertainment, delectable food, and loads of fun. Make it a “must” for your itinerary!! This factual yet fun dinner theater is Norfolk Island’s newest interactive show and a great way to learn about Norfolk’s history. The cast of actors will take you on an entertaining journey back in time. The Commandant’s stories about the notorious Convict Settlements on Norfolk Island will have you enthralled. During the evening, hear how the convicts were treated by sadists and reformers alike. Listen to a chilling recall of one of the infamous rebellions. Then marvel at how the Commandants and their families adapted to life in a Norfolk Island penal colony, recreating a little piece of England in the Pacific. Explore their great challenges, impressive successes, and shameful secrets. It’s a three-course dinner using local produce (when available) in keeping with traditional English fare to complement the theatrical setting. Hearty, wholesome, British tucker fit for a Commandant and his good lady wife, fortunately prepared by free men in a modern kitchen, not a poor convict over a wood stove! The Commandant’s Dinner and Show begins at 6:30 pm on Wednesdays at the Paradise Hotel. Cash bar available.

Day 6: Thursday 26 February 2026 (B, D) Breakfast Bushwalk
The Breakfast Bushwalk is a relaxed ramble through one of our many National Park trails. Your local guide can help you identify local grasses, ferns, shrubs and trees as well as bird species.

Baunti Island Fish Fry
The Baunti Island Fish Fry is another must-do on your Norfolk Island visit. You will have an eagle-eyed view of the tiny crescent-shaped beach and the magnificent spread of ocean stretching to the far horizon. The beautifully set tables will delight you – it’s the most glamorous picnic you will ever attend! Scrumptiously fresh, local fish is prepared the local way and accompanied with a range of seasonal island dishes, including those passed down from our Polynesian foremothers. This extends even to dessert. Our feast kicks off with entertainment by a local singer and Tahitian-style dancers. We feel sorry for poor old La Perouse – he missed out on so much! But don’t you – come ‘long for ucklun’ on the Baunti Island Fish Fry. Here, you’ll be perched like an angel, between heaven and earth!

Day 7: Friday 27 February 2026 (B, Farewell Dinner)
Glass Bottom Boat Sailing (weather permitting)
Christian’s Glass Bottom boat will take you on a cruise within the lagoon of Emily and Slaughter Bays. Norfolk Island has the second southernmost coral reef in the world and attracts a diversity of marine life. View beautiful coral gardens as you cruise the crystal-clear, pristine waters of the lagoon. There’s also a wide variety of species of colourful fish on display.

Farm & Industry Tour
The farm tour is an iconic tour which Baunti Tours have revamped to include the following new venues, exclusive to Baunti Tours. A farm supplying seasonally grown fruit and vegetables to the marketplace, and a palm nursery which is a state-of-the-art nursery exporting palms to the world market. A stunning home garden with hydroponics where you will enjoy a cuppa as you wander around the property, which is home to Bounty Mutineer Descendants. The Farm Tour, of course, still travels to the Liqueur Factory and on the way to liqueur tasting, we will call past the local mill. A tour not to be missed whilst holidaying on the island.

Homestead Restaurant – 3 Course Farewell Dinner with Beverage
The Homestead is set in a 1930’s island home on Norfolk Island and has been in the Menghetti family for 37 years. Kurt and Jill Menghetti opened their doors as the Homestead Restaurant in October 2019.  The team pairs simple ingredients with the elemental technique of cooking over embers to enhance the contemporary dining experience. At the heart of the kitchen is the wood-fueled Argentinian Perilla grill engineered by Kurt’s dad.  The menu is designed around cooking over embers to intensify and develop the depth of flavour of the seasonal local produce, meat, and seafood found on Norfolk Island.

100 Acre Farm
The Homestead is situated on the western side of Norfolk Island, adjacent to the 100 Acre Forest and giant Morten Bay figs. 100 Acre Farm is a working farm that produces beef and vegetables commercially. The Homestead embraces the farm-to-table philosophy as well as sourcing line-caught fish from Norfolk’s clean wild waters.

Day 8: Saturday 28 February 2026 (B)
10:00 am Cyclorama (Walking distance from accommodation)
Based on an art form made popular in the 1800s, the Cyclorama is one of Norfolk’s most popular attractions. Here are a few reasons to add this one to your Norfolk Island itinerary. Firstly, it brings to life the history of the Bounty mutiny and the Norfolk Island people. Secondly, it is one of only a small number of paintings of this type in the world. The stunning 360° panoramic painting surrounds you with impressive and realistic artwork. Above all, the Cyclorama has won multiple Tourism Awards and comes highly ranked on TripAdvisor. It really is an amazing experience with the ‘wow’ factor!
