Kilauea, HI 96754, USA
Positioned on the slopes of a dormant volcano, the Kilauea Lighthouse is a heritage building perfect for those going attraction-hopping. Not only does the lighthouse offer spectacular views of the ocean, but it’s also a breeding ground for many native Hawaiian bird species, like red-tailed boobies, Laysan albatrosses and wedge-tailed shearwaters. If you’re lucky, you might also get a chance to see monk seals, green sea turtles and humpback whales. Children under 16 receive free entry.
