Kauai’s South Shore is spectacular, but never more so than at Spouting Horn Park. Here, the pounding surf is funnelled into a naturally-created lava tube, eventually exploding into the air in a 50-foot (15 metre) geyser of seawater. If you’re lucky (and fast), you might be able to get a pretty awesome photo. If you’re visiting between December and May, this area is also renowned for migrating humpback whales, so it pays to keep an eye out.
