Hiking

With the remote vastness of Northwest Colorado close at hand, there’s plenty of places for you and your family to go adventuring.  Check out areas like Emerald Mountain, Medicine Bow-Routt National Forests, the Rotary Park Boardwalk, Mad Creek Trailhead and Stehley Park for a range of great walking routes.  Although many of these trails are open all year, it’s worth remembering that Coloradan winters are formidable, so if you intend to go hiking in the snow, rug up, stick to cleared tracks, and keep an eye on the weather.
