Resort Update – Services 13 January 2022

The COVID-19 situation continues to evolve on an almost daily basis. Today, I am pleased to let you know we have been able to make some more Australian properties available for January bookings again.

TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS ON NEW BOOKINGS AT SOME AUSTRALIAN RESORTS

We continue to experience staffing and supplier issues at most resorts in Australia due to the overall spread of COVID-19 and the mandatory isolation requirements within the country.

From today there are no longer any restrictions on January bookings at Club Wyndham Surfers Paradise and Club Wyndham Airlie Beach.

To summarise, new bookings are restricted at all Australian properties between now and January 31, except for:

  • Club Wyndham Marcoola Beach
  • Club Wyndham Golden Beach
  • Club Wyndham Surfers Paradise
  • Club Wyndham Airlie Beach
  • Club Wyndham Shoal Bay

Please rest assured that my team reviews the situation regularly and we will provide updates of any changes as needed. We are doing all we can to try and ease the temporary restrictions at other resorts.

COVID-19 CANCELLATION POLICY

In light of Western Australia’s latest announcement, Owner Services will send the following groups an invitation to cancel their reservations:

  • Owners based in Western Australia with reservations outside their state with a check-in date on or before February 5
  • Owners based outside of Western Australia with reservations inside Western Australia with a check-in date on or before February 5

If either of these invitations to cancel applies to you, please confirm the cancellation using the text message that the Owner Services team will send you.

If the COVID-19 cancellation policy is applied in response to any of the conditions above, the team will return your credits to your account. Where your credits are expired, they will be subject to a new travel by date.

OWNER SERVICES

Owner Services in particular continues to be hard-hit by COVID-19 itself and COVID-19 isolation requirements. The call centre will now close at 6pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) in order to support owner needs during the peak periods of the day.

We are working on solutions to this issue but as they will take time to implement we seek your patience and understanding.

Our team members are doing the best they can and, at this time, we would suggest you only call if the matter is urgent or can only be finalised through Owner Services.
