Your New Club Wyndham South Pacific Resort Is Coming To Shiga Kogen!

Club Wyndham Maruike Shiga Kogen in Nagano, Japan

Club Wyndham Maruike Shiga Kogen

We’re excited to share that Club Wyndham South Pacific is growing, with a ski-in/ski-out resort opening its doors to owners soon and extending the club’s offering in Japan.

Your next Club Wyndham resort is in Shiga Kogen, Nagano – Asia’s largest ski area, with the highest skiable terrain in Japan at a peak elevation reaching 2,307 metres.

The property is located directly across from Club Wyndham Shirakabaso Shiga Kogen. Together, the two resorts create an enhanced Club Wyndham experience in Shiga Kogen. Guests can enjoy access to facilities at both properties, offering a wide range of dining, beverage and recreational experiences.

About the resort

Club Wyndham Maruike Shiga Kogen

Club Wyndham Maruike Shiga Kogen offers direct access to the dramatic highland scenery of Joshin’etsu Kogen National Park. The resort sits on Maruike Ski Mountain, with the nearest chairlift just steps away.

The resort is undergoing an extensive refurbishment, preserving the character of a traditional Japanese mountain resort while introducing Western-style comforts, including raised bedding in select rooms. The resort has 16 apartments including 6 Studios, 9 Studio Deluxes and 1 two-bedroom apartment.

As part of the transformation, the resort’s indoor onsen has been upgraded, the lobby redesigned, and a spacious ski-in/ski-out restaurant added. Guests also have access to the facilities of neighbouring Club Wyndham Shirakabaso Shiga Kogen, including onsen hot springs, a whisky bar, a lobby café and a pizza restaurant.

To help guests make the most of their stay in this remote alpine destination, breakfast and dinner are provided through a mandatory Food & Beverage Fee for all resort stays. The fee is payable in addition to the credits required for accommodation and is charged per person, per night for guests aged 13 and over, while children aged 12 and under eat free. Guests can enjoy either a traditional Japanese set menu or pizza for dinner.

The resort will be managed by Travel + Leisure Co. alongside the adjoining Club Wyndham Shirakabaso Shiga Kogen, creating a seamless experience across both properties and allowing owners to enjoy an expanded range of facilities, dining options and recreational experiences throughout their stay.

The refurbishment of Club Wyndham Maruike Shiga Kogen is well underway, and we are targeting an opening in time for the start of Japan’s ski season in December. We look forward to sharing the confirmed opening date and booking commencement details as soon as they are available. In the meantime, you can view the resort’s credit charts and seasonalities on the Club Wyndham South Pacific website.
