One of the most cherished moments we’ve experienced was celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary with our entire family—15 of us in total—at the beautiful Ramada Resort by Club Wyndham Shoal Bay. It was the perfect venue for such a milestone, with the resort’s flexible room options allowing us to book a combination of spacious apartments, including the luxurious presidential suite. This meant our children and grandchildren could come and go across the weekend, making the celebration as relaxed and inclusive as possible.
The resort itself was ideal for all generations. Our grandchildren were especially thrilled with the spa facilities, and the whole family enjoyed the easy access to the beach and the resort’s two swimming pools. Activities were abundant—electric bike rides into Nelson Bay and a memorable hike up Tomaree Mountain gave us all a chance to bond, laugh, and perhaps work off the incredible anniversary dinner we shared at the Little Beach Boathouse. The food, the view, and the company made it a night we’ll never forget.
Just a two-hour drive north of Sydney, Shoal Bay has become our go-to escape for both relaxation and adventure. Whether making use of the full kitchens in our rooms or sampling the local dining scene, the options are always effortless. With free parking, WiFi, beachfront access, and excellent facilities for all ages—including a fitness center, spa, and family-friendly amenities—the resort caters to every need.

But more than anything, it’s the consistent service, attention to detail, and family-first environment that keeps us coming back. Thanks to our Wyndham membership, our holidays have become more than just trips—they’re treasured chapters in our family story.”
