CHANGE IN GOVERNMENT RESTRICTIONS

The COVID-19 situation continues to evolve in Australia and we are responding to the latest directions from state governments and health authorities.

During the weekend, the Victorian Government expanded the number of postcodes in Melbourne that it has locked down. You can see the list on the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services website here. Our Owner Services team has already begun contacting owners with an address in these recently added areas to cancel their July reservations, as the lockdown will prevent these owners from travelling.

The Australian Government and the Victorian and New South Wales Governments have made the joint decision to close the New South Wales/Victorian border to all non-essential travel from midnight tomorrow night, 7 July, 2020 (AEST). If you have a Victorian address on file and you have a reservation in New South Wales with a July arrival date, our Owner Services team has sent you a text message to cancel your reservation. If you have a New South Wales address on file and a reservation in Victoria, you will likewise receive a text message to cancel.

In both the above cases, please confirm your cancellation as quickly as you can if this border closure affects you. Your credits will be returned to your account and, if they are expired, you will receive a voucher within 14 days for future use.

If you are a Victorian travelling to New South Wales or from New South Wales and travelling to Victoria and your reservation begins before the border closure, you may choose to keep it and travel but you need to be aware that you may have an issue crossing back over the state border, or you may need to quarantine for 14 days in a government facility at your own cost.

QUARANTINE ARRANGEMENTS

Some states have arrangements that require travellers from certain areas to serve a two week quarantine in a government-arranged hotel at their own cost. You will be unable to do this at a Wyndham property. We have not offered club properties as quarantine facilities and we will not be permitting self-isolation at a club property.

When travelling, you should check all restrictions and quarantine requirements that may apply. Before making a new booking, please check your local restrictions on travel and overnight accommodation, as all new reservations are subject to the standard club cancellation policies.

The government restrictions are fluid and we are expecting there will be more changes in coming days and weeks. We will amend our cancellation policy in response to changing restrictions.

CHANGED DETAILS

With region-specific lockdowns in Victoria and the state’s borders closed, our Owner Services team is using the addresses and postcodes we have on file to isolate specific reservations and ensure affected owners receive either their credits or a voucher for future use. It is therefore essential that we have your correct details.
