The Queensland Government has today announced a three-day lockdown for the Greater Brisbane area, following a number of community COVID-19 cases in the city. We empathise with both owners in the region and those who will have their holiday plans disrupted.
It is likely that other states will respond by implementing restrictions and our team is closely monitoring this situation. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, our team has responded as appropriate to keep our Club Wyndham South Pacific owners safe.

TRAVELLING FROM GREATER BRISBANE
If you live in the Greater Brisbane region, you will be unable to travel for the period of this lockdown, which currently extends to 5pm on Thursday, 1 April. The Owner Services team will systematically work through reservations and give owners from the region the opportunity to cancel their reservations.
If you receive a message and it applies to you, please confirm the cancellation as outlined in the message as soon as possible. Your credits will be returned to your account or, if they have expired, a voucher will be issued within 14 days for future use. There is no need to call.
However, if you do not receive a text message, your reservation remains confirmed.
Please note that it is each owner’s responsibility to ensure a booking is cancelled. Unless the resort is closed, we will not process a cancellation without an owner’s confirmation.
The Queensland Government is urging anyone who has been to Greater Brisbane since March 20 to adhere to the lockdown restrictions. If you have visited the region since March 20, you will need to contact Owner Services in order to cancel. Please use the contact details below and provide details of your reservation.
IF YOU HAVE ALREADY TRAVELLED FROM GREATER BRISBANE
If you are staying at one of our resorts currently and were in Greater Brisbane even briefly any time from 20 March onwards, ensure you abide by the relevant government directive, which you can find here. If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to contact reception.
Already, some states have placed additional restrictions on people who are travelling from or who have travelled from Greater Brisbane and you should check the latest information for your destination online, even if you have already travelled.
WA BORDER RESTRICTIONS
Western Australia is the only state so far which has declared the whole of Queensland as a COVID-19 medium risk. As a consequence, residents of Queensland travelling to Western Australia will have to undergo quarantine, as would Western Australian residents returning from Queensland.
Owner Services will send an invitation to cancel to Western Australian owners with a reservation in Queensland or Queensland owners with a reservation in Western Australia, beginning between today and Thursday, 1 April. If it applies to you, please confirm the cancellation as outlined in the message as soon as you can. Your credits will be returned to your account or, if they have expired, a voucher will be issued within 14 days for future use.
