Resort Update – 2 June

June 2, 2021 | Latest Announcements

The Victorian Government has announced that lockdown conditions will continue for the Greater Melbourne region for at least another week and have said they may be lifted in regional Victoria, subject to health advice. Our thoughts continue to be with our owners who are experiencing lockdown, as well as those who will have their travel plans impacted.

The latest border and gathering restrictions in Australia for all states and territories are available at the Australian Government’s COVID-19 Restriction Checker. You can check New Zealand’s restrictions at the national Unite Against COVID-19 page.

Club Wyndham Melbourne will remain closed until at least June 10, 2021, in line with the announced lockdown for Greater Melbourne.

Our Owner Services team will cancel all reservations at Club Wyndham Melbourne with a check-in date on or before June 10. The team will systematically work through these reservations, return your credits to your account or, if they have expired, issue a voucher within 14 days for future use.

The five regional Victorian properties – Club Wyndham Torquay, Club Wyndham Ballarat, Club Wyndham Dinner Plain, Club Wyndham Lakes Entrance and Ramada by Wyndham Phillip Island – may be able to open from Friday onwards.

If they are able, there will be some changes onsite in order to adhere to the latest government restrictions:

  • Some amenities may be closed or have limits on the number of people using them
  • Food and beverage options onsite may be limited
  • Check-in by scanning QR codes is now required by the state government
  • Reservations must encompass one ‘social bubble’ or be only the one family

However, our Owner Services team will be offering owners with a check-in date on or before June 10 at any of these properties the opportunity to cancel.

Owners based in Greater Melbourne, who are in lockdown, will be invited to cancel their reservations with check-in dates on or before June 10.

The lockdown may last longer or there may be other restrictions afterward, and we will update this policy accordingly if and when these are announced.

Most Australian states and territories still have in place some restrictions on travel from Victoria. Therefore, our Owner Services team will invite Victorian owners intending to travel outside the state with check-in dates on or before June 10 to cancel their reservations.

If any of these invitations to cancel apply to you, please confirm the cancellation using the message that the Owner Services team will send you and the team will return your credits to your account or, if they have expired, issue a voucher within 14 days for future use. Reservations at Club Wyndham Melbourne will be cancelled.

If you do not receive a text message, your reservation remains confirmed. We will not process a cancellation without the owner’s confirmation unless a resort is actually closed, as many owners have gifted reservations to family and friends.

Please note that it is your responsibility to ensure your booking is cancelled.

The situation is evolving and our team continues to monitor the latest government restrictions and travel advice. We will update the COVID-19 cancellation policy at times where there is a definitive change in restrictions.

The Owner Services team sends messages based on your residential address on file. If you have reason to believe your address on file may not be up-to-date, please contact us to change it:
