After what has been an unprecedented year where serious travel restrictions were implemented and changed regularly, it has been a relief to see some of these being lifted in recent weeks. However, we still have a long way to go, with international travel remaining limited even between Australia and New Zealand.

AUSTRALIA BORDER RESTRICTIONS
Australian states have started easing border restrictions, although a few restrictions may persist into December

Our Owner services team will send you a text message if you have a reservation that may be impacted by border restrictions for December, giving you the option to cancel.

If you don’t receive a cancellation confirmation email, your reservation remains confirmed.

AUSTRALIAN/NEW ZEALAND BORDERS
New Zealand owners planning to travel to Australia and Australian owners planning to travel to New Zealand during December will also receive a message inviting them to cancel their reservation, as quarantine arrangements still exist at least on the trip to New Zealand.

In the above cases, you do not have to cancel, but you should be aware of the cancellation window the COVID-19 cancellation policy gives you. If you use that text message to cancel within the window, your credits will be returned to your account or, if they have expired, a voucher will be issued within 14 days for future use.

Our COVID-19 cancellation policy also has short cancellation windows to allow owners the best possible chance of using their reservations during December, while ensuring that, if they cancel, other owners have time to utilise the space.

INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL

  • Club Wyndham Denarau Island will remain closed for December. We are continuing to take advantage of this time to bring forward significant works on the site in preparation for re-opening, and these will continue during December.
  • Lockdowns in place across Europe mean that Club Wyndham Bavaria, Club Wyndham Tuscany and Club Wyndham Normandy will remain closed during December. Our teams will cancel all December reservations at these properties. We will continue to keep you informed if any changes occur.
  • Club Wyndham Sea Pearl Phuket, Club Wyndham Dreamland Bali and all the club’s Japanese and Hawaiian properties are accepting December reservations for owners who are based in the same country as the resort. Our teams will send all owners not currently residing in these markets an invitation to cancel their December reservations.

If these closures apply to you, your credits will be returned or, if the credits have expired, a voucher will be issued within 14 days for future use. We ask that, before making a new reservation, you check the travel advisories for your country of residence and your destination in order to make an informed decision.

AVAILABILITY
Given the recent travel restrictions, some resorts are more popular than ever while others have plenty of availability. Heading into summer, all properties in Victoria, particularly Club Wyndham Melbourne, have plenty of availability – which may present you with an opportunity to travel to a destination you have always wanted to explore or upgrade to an apartment type you previously have not experienced.

New reservations are subject to standard club cancellation policies so please ensure you check local restrictions on travel and overnight accommodation. Some properties may also have reduced facilities under local COVID-19 restrictions, and you can find out this information at each destination’s Before You Go page.
