COVID-19 LOCKDOWN EXTENDED IN VICTORIA
On Sunday, the Victorian government announced two separate roadmaps out of its current COVID-19 restrictions – one for the Melbourne metropolitan area and one for the rest of the state.

The current lockdown in Melbourne will be extended for at least another two weeks – until September 28 – and a modified lockdown will run until at least October 25, which also prohibits travel. Both these dates depend on daily COVID-19 infection numbers falling to a threshold number.

Club Wyndham Melbourne will therefore remain closed until at least October 25. Our Owner Services team will systematically work through reservations at the property until that date and cancel them. If this applies to you, your credits will be returned to your account or, if the credits have expired, a voucher will be issued within 14 days for future use.

Owners who live in Melbourne will be unable to travel during that period. Our team will work through reservations made by owners with a residential address in Melbourne and send them an invitation to cancel. If this applies to you, please confirm and your credits will be returned, or, if the credits have expired, a voucher will be issued within 14 days for future use.

The rest of Victoria will move to a modified lockdown on September 13, but it remains unclear when it will move to the next step, which allows intrastate travel. At this point, the criteria for that loosening of restrictions is a reduction in the daily number of COVID-19 cases to a particular level, maintained over 14 days.

Given that the modified lockdown is likely to last at least 14 days, our team will cancel all reservations with dates up to and including September 30. If this applies to you, your credits will be returned to your account or, if the credits have expired, a voucher will be issued within 14 days for future use. Any further cancellations for these resorts will be evaluated by September 21.

We estimate that owners who live in regional Victoria will also be unable to visit other states for travel at least until Melbourne is out of lockdown. Our Owner Services team will also contact owners with a residential address in Victoria outside of Melbourne who have reservations outside the state on dates up to and including October 25 and invite them to cancel their reservations. If this applies to you, please confirm the cancellation and your credits will be returned or, if the credits have expired, a voucher will be issued within 14 days for future use.

Our teams intend to open your club resorts in Victoria at the earliest possible opportunity, although we are taking our direction from government and health bodies.

INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL
Unfortunately, Club Wyndham Denarau Island will remain closed for October. Restrictions that are affecting tourism in Indonesia and France mean that there is also no clear indication on an opening date for Club Wyndham Dreamland Bali or Club Wyndham Normandy. Our teams are cancelling all October reservations at these three properties and, if this applies to you, your credits will be returned or, if the credits have expired, a voucher will be issued within 14 days for future use.

Club Wyndham Tuscany and Club Wyndham Bavaria are open but, because of restrictions on international travel, are inaccessible by many Club Wyndham South Pacific owners. However, we are opening reservations for owners who are based in Europe. We ask that, before making a reservation, you check the travel advisories for your country of residence and your destination to ensure that you can safely travel and fulfil your reservation.

Club Wyndham Sea Pearl and all the club’s Japanese properties are also accepting October reservations for owners who are based in the same country as their resort destination. However, they are not available at present to other Club Wyndham South Pacific owners due to the restrictions on international travel in Asia Pacific.

AVAILABILITY
While some of your club resorts are closed or inaccessible to you at the moment, there are plenty of resorts that still have availability, although they are filling up quickly. The table below indicates the availability earlier today. This is a guideline only and will change as owners make bookings. For live availability, log in with your owner number at clubwyndhamsp.com.

Please check your local restrictions on travel and overnight accommodation before making a booking as all new reservations are subject to the standard club cancellation policies. There may also be some reduced facilities at resorts under COVID-19 restrictions.
