Resort Report – Nov 2022

We are close to the end of another year and, fortunately, a festive season where travel has almost returned to normal.

It has been a busy 2022 for our Property Development team, who have worked industriously throughout the year.

  • The refurbishment of all club rooms at Club Wyndham Crown Towers and Club Wyndham Shoal Bay was completed earlier in the year.
  • The refurbishment of Club Wyndham Sea Pearl Phuket has been largely completed and all rooms are due to be reopened before the end of the year after some minor additional works.
  • Stage one of projects at Club Wyndham Melbourne and Club Wyndham Golden Beach have been completed, with stage two planned for next year.
  • The project to paint the outside of Club Wyndham Kirra Beach is nearing completion and the minigolf course has been refreshed.
  • Refurbishment of four out of the eight blocks at Club Wyndham Dunsborough has been completed and work will continue on the rest between April and October 2023.

This year has come with challenges, including travel restrictions, outbreaks of COVID-19, and resulting supply chain delays, which particularly affected the arrival of furniture. It has been a relief to see some of these issues resolved and the supply pressure ease toward the end of the year.

The team goes into 2023 with the expectation that a full refurbishment program can be completed and we look forward to sharing some of the future projects with you soon.

Before we look at the addition of a new Associate property and Owner Services hours over the festive period, we are pleased to share new photos of refurbished rooms at Club Wyndham Golden Beach.

You can see more photos soon on the Club Wyndham South Pacific Assistance and Holiday Sharing Group. You will need your owner number to join this group.

Twenty-two of the 60 club apartments at the resort have been refurbished this year, with new furniture, bedding, sofa beds, soft furnishings and artwork installed.

The apartments also have improved kitchen facilities, including a four-burner cooktop, oven, single dishwasher drawer and a new rangehood. Some bathrooms have also been altered to ensure all apartments have a walk-in shower to improve accessibility.

Developed from a former coconut plantation and with a lush national park as a backdrop, Wyndham Hua Hin provides a tropical, private environment. This resort is spread out over 20 acres and features an incredible range of facilities, including a skate park, archery range, beach volleyball, tennis and pickleball courts, fitness centre, bike paths and much more.

The resort is positioned between two charming fishing villages about three hours from Bangkok. Hua Hin, about half an hour drive away, is a fully-fledged resort town favoured by the Bangkok-based nobility – one King even built a summer palace there, which remains a residence to this day.

The Associate Resort program offers Club Wyndham South Pacific owners the ability to use vacation credits to stay in the following rooms:

  • 2 x Garden rooms – well-appointed rooms overlooking the resort gardens and featuring a balcony with outdoor furniture
  • 2 x Studio Garden View rooms – elegant rooms boasting a terrace overlooking the expansive gardens
  • 1 x Deluxe studio room – a superior room with large private terrace with table and chairs, outdoor daybed or beanbag chairs
  • 2 x Pool Villas and 1 x Deluxe Pool Villa – 90-square metre villas featuring a private walled garden, oversized plunge pool, outdoor bathtub, daybed, sun loungers and coffee machine

Club Wyndham South Pacific owners will be able to make reservations at Wyndham Hua Hin Pranburi Resort & Villas from 10am Thursday, December 1. This Associate Resort agreement runs until December 31, 2023.

Associate Resorts are not a benefit of club ownership, but are extended by the Developer, Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific, and are subject to the terms and conditions set by the Developer, which include six months’ validity of credits and longer booking windows for high Lifestyle tiers.

Our Owner Services team will reduce their hours across the festive season to accommodate staff taking a break to spend time with their own families. We have endeavoured to reduce hours on as few days as possible to minimise disruption.

Owner Services hours will also be reduced by just one hour from Monday to Friday for the duration of daylight saving in the Eastern Australia dates. The call centre Operation hours are now Monday to Friday 7am to 8pm AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time – Queensland) and Saturday and Sunday 8:30am to 4:30pm.

We are pleased to present our Owners’ Meet and Greet schedule for December. These events are an excellent opportunity to get to know your club resort staff and fellow owners. Some lifelong friendships have been forged through these afternoons!

We look forward to welcoming you in the upcoming festive season and giving you a holiday experience to remember.

The Club Wyndham South Pacific team
