Itinerary
Day 1: Sunday 10 March Welcome to Queenstown (D)
On arrival at Queenstown Airport you will be transferred to your hotel. After check in, there is time to explore at leisure. All group guests will meet at a Welcome Dinner at the hotel.

Day 2: Monday 11 March Queenstown (B,L)
Today we take a leisurely cruise on TSS Earnshaw and farm tour with a barbecue lunch in the beautiful garden setting at the Colonel’s Homestead. Sit back on the lakeside terrace and savour the enticing aromas as the chef cooks a selection of food on the barbecue where you can enjoy a unique dining experience at Walter Peak where the menu showcases food and wine from the wider Central Otago region. Before or after lunch, the rural demonstrator will give you an insight into life in the New Zealand high country by providing an entertaining farm show including working sheep dogs and sheep shearing.
Day 3: Tuesday 12 March Queenstown to Wanaka (B,D)
After breakfast we bid farewell to Queenstown and head to our Club Wyndham Resort in Wanaka. We will make a quick stop for optional groceries for own arrangements for some of the meals while at the Club Wyndham resort. Group Dinner Pizza Night at the resort .

Day 4: Wednesday 13 March Wanaka (L)
Get ready for a big day today with Discover Wanaka Wine Tours! Meet passionate vineyard owners, hear their stories of perseverance and dedication in producing wine in what is fast becoming one of New Zealand’s most famous wine producing regions. This is a great day of discovery for all, from wine enthusiasts to those wanting to taste what all the fuss is about. Includes a delicious, barrel – cooked, five course banquet, matched with five award winning wines. 11 am-17:30 pm
Day 5: Thursday 14 March Wanaka
Today you get the chance to relax at the club resort or choose from optional tours.
At 5:00 pm you will have a sunset happy hour Cruise in Lake Wanaka. Relax with a glass of chilled Pinot Gris or local beer and cheese board while you absorb the mountain scenery in evening lights.
Day 6: Friday 15 March Wanaka to Franz Josef (D)
As you travel today your driver will provide suitable breaks for photos as you travel. You will stop at Lake Matheson for a short self – guided walk around the lakes edge in Fox Glacier before arriving at Franz Josef. Settling in your beautiful accommodation and get together for a group dinner.

Day 7: Saturday 16 March Franz Josef to Punakaiki (B,D)
Spend the morning with Franz Josef Wilderness Tours on a super little walk and cruise on nearby Lake Okarito, then you will be transferred onto Punakaiki.
Cruise & Rainforest Walk (2.5hrs) Split in two groups: 9:00 am – 11:30 am & 11:30 am – 14:00 pm
Journey across the lake and enjoy exclusive access to our private rainforest trail through the Okarito Kiwi Sanctuary. Step off the boat and into another world! Experience Westlands oldest Jurassic rainforest and meet curious native bird life.
After your cruise and walk in Franz Josef, the driver will stop at West Coast Treetop Walk enroute to Punakaiki. An exhilarating treetop adventure among temperate rainforest giants. Adrenalin pumping thrills seekers will feel their hearts pump and the adrenalin rush as they climb to the top of Hokitika Tower 40 metres above the forest floor, if you are really inspired.

Day 8: Sunday 17 March 2024 Punakaiki to Christchurch via TranzAlpine (B,D)
After breakfast you will have time to visit Pancake Rocks before being transferred to meet the TranzAlpine to Christchurch, your coach will meet on arrival and transfer you to your hotel. You will enjoy dinner at the hotel

You explore Christchurch today. Enjoy a journey in style through the changing face of Christchurch city centre on board our beautifully restored heritage Trams, one of Christchurch leading attractions, friendly and knowledgeable drivers will inform you about the city, its landmarks and local sights. Experience dramatic lighting in the four seasons of Antarctica show where it snows every 6 minutes. Learn about life in modern day Antarctica then venture out on to the ice from (the new) Scott Base to play in the Antarctic the snow & ice experience and survive an Antarctic storm!
Day 10: Tuesday 19 March 2024 to Blenheim (B,D)
Travel from Christchurch to Blenheim hugging the coastline via Kaikoura, visit Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre Knights of the Sky & Dangerous Skies. Dinner at the hotel

Day 11: Wednesday 20 March 2024 Sounds Cruising (B,L)
A fabulous day in the Marlborough Sounds! Cruise to Furneaux Lodge through Queen Charlotte Sound/Tōtaranui in the morning, arriving in time for lunch at the Furneaux Restaurant. Choose your delicious lunch from the set menu, and relax on the sweeping lawn overlooking Endeavour Inlet, or inside the cosy restaurant in Furneaux’s historic homestead. Explore the grounds, do a short walk or simply drink in the views until it’s time to meet us at the jetty at 3.15pm for the scenic cruise home.
Day 12: Thursday 21 March 2024 Wellington (B,D)
Free time this morning then you will head to Picton for Inter island ferry to Wellington, you will be met on arrival and transferred to your overnight accommodation. Dinner included at your hotel this evening.

Day 13: Friday 22 March 2024 Napier (B,D)
Enjoy early morning admission to the Gallipoli Exhibition at Te Papa. The scale of Our War- combines the world of museums with the world-class creative artistry of Weta Workshop to immerse you in the eight-month Gallipoli campaign. Continue north to Napier, time for a Vintage Car ride.
Then check-in and relax for the evening. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 14: Saturday 23 March 2024 Taupo & Rotorua (B, D)
Today travel via Lake Taupo Enjoy a Scenic Cruise Lake Taupo to Maori Rock Carvings visiting the famous Maori Rock Carvings on Mine Bay is one of the must-do activities when you are in the Great Lake Taupo region. The Carvings are only accessible by water and Chris Jolly Outdoors scenic lake cruises on our modern spacious Cruise Cat catamaran is the fastest and most comfortable way to get to the Carvings. Then on to Rotorua. Dinner at Club resort restaurant.

Day 15: Sunday 24 March 2024 Rotorua (L)
Be guided through the greenstone, wood carving and flax weaving schools at the New Zealand Māori Arts & Crafts Institute, Rotowhio Pā, Kiwi Conservation Centre and Te Whakarewarewa geothermal valley including Pōhutu geyser. The minimum duration of Te Rā Guided Experience is 90 minutes. Te Puia’s world-famous hangi buffet lunch served in Pātaka Kai Restaurant, Bar & Café. Menus are subject to change. Day 16: Monday 25 March 2024 Rotorua (D)
Combine all three of Hell’s Gate’s most popular experiences. Take part in the guided or self-guided interactive geothermal walk, before indulging in our geothermal mud baths and sulphur spas. It’s a Rotorua experience you’ll never forget. * Please note if you have high blood pressure or a heart condition this is not suitable.
Tonight, dinner will be set amongst the stars atop Mount Ngongotaha, Skyline Rotorua’s Stratosfare Restaurant and Bar, home to some of New Zealand’s best award-winning cuisine. This is a unique and decadent Rotorua dining experience that you’ll want to return to again and again.
Day 17: Tuesday 26 March 2024 Hobbiton and Auckland (L,D)
Leave the lakes behind and head for the “big city”! a visit to Hobbiton where you will be fully guided around the 12-acre set; past Hobbit Holes, the Mill and into the world-famous Green Dragon Inn, where you will be presented with an exclusive Hobbit Southfarthin beverage to conclude your own Middle-earth adventure. Experience the taste of the Shire with a delicious buffet lunch observed in the Party Marquee. Your meal is served buffet style with shared table seating.
You will have your farewell dinner at Orbit Restaurant – Skycity Hotel – Soaring high above Auckland, a truly iconic New Zealand Brasserie offering diners sensational views and food to match. Situated at the top of Auckland’s Sky Tower, the dining room rotates once every hour providing a truly unique experience with amazing 360-degree panoramas of the city, Hauraki Gulf & beyond. Your experience doesn’t just stop at the restaurant. Diners can also enjoy complimentary Sky Tower admission 45 minutes prior to and/or upon completion of dining.

Day 18: Wednesday 27 March 2024 Depart Auckland (B)
Say farewell to your group, we hope you have had a wonderful time exploring. Free time this morning (check outs 10 am, luggage can be stored) then your transfer to Auckland Airport will be provided. Unless you would like to extend your stay!!! There is much more to see and do and we would be happy to assist with your plans.
