Itinerary

Day 1: Paris→ Nice
Welcome to Paris! Board your TGV train from Paris to Nice, where a representative will escort you to the hotel, right in the centre of Nice, in the Jean-Médecin district.
Overnight stay in Nice at Hotel Aston La Scala.

Day 2: Nice → French Riviera → Nice
After breakfast, meet your guide at 9:00 am at your hotel and start your excursion to discover the stunning French Riviera.

Eze is one of the most beautiful villages on the French Riviera with an extensive view of the entire French Riviera. Visit quaint porcelain and tapestry workshops. Enjoy a striking view over the coastline. You can visit the Fragonard factory and shop to learn everything about perfume making process, flagrance and flowers.

Proceed to the Principality of Monaco, nestled on the French Riviera, the Principality is one of the privileged resorts of the Jet-Set. Explore the museum of Oceanography, Prince’s palace and the cathedral where Prince Rainier and Grace Kelly are buried and enjoy a view on the entire country from to top of the “rock”. Free time to enjoy the lively old town of Monaco around the palace with restaurants and souvenirs shops. Then, experience the thrill of a full lap around the most famous Formula one circuit in Monte-Carlo. Free time to walk around the Casino square, Café de Paris.

Continue to Cannes to admire the “Palais of festival” famous for its movie festival which happens every year in May. Walk along the famous “Croisette” boulevard to see five stars hotels, prestigious cafe, luxury boutiques and sandy beaches. Visit Antibes, a charming small town that has a world famous marina called the Billionnaires quay where you will see some of the biggest and more expensive yacht of the world. Walk along the port to explore the fortified city and the Picasso museum.

Last stop in Saint-Paul de Vence, a medieval walls encircle narrow streets and capture the heritage of more than a thousand years. Picking out the marks of history, either alone or with a guide, is to enter into the soul of Saint-Paul de Vence. Return to Nice.

Day 3: Nice
After Breakfast, enjoy some free time in Nice. We suggest to take a nice walk along the “Promenade des Anglais”, the old city of Nice and Beaches.

Day 4: Nice → Avignon
After breakfast, check out from the hotel in Nice and meet your driver in the hotel lobby for your transfer to the train station. Board your TGV train to Avignon, where a representative will escort you to your hotel.

In the afternoon, you will be provided with tickets for visiting The Palace of the Popes, the biggest Gothic palace in the world! It was built in less than 70 years by the Popes, and today there are 25 rooms open to your visit. It also served as a military barracks, and is used as a theatrical stage, a cultural setting for prestigious exhibitions. Rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 5: Avignon → Saint Remy→ Avignon
After breakfast, reach the Avignon Tourist Office which is 6 minute’s walk from the hotel to start your excursion. Leave with your small group to Saint Remy de Provence for an incredible photo stop at the Antiques Triumphal Arch and mausoleum located in a field of olive trees, landscape painted several times by Van Gogh. After you will continue to Les Baux de Provence. This village is located upon a rock 245 metres high, with its historical pedestrian centre: the museum of Santons, the Hôtel des Porcelets, beautiful house of the 16th century, the St Vincent Church, pretty romanesque building. Then, explore the famous site of the Pont du Gard dated from the first century and classified by UNESCO. It is the most amazing and well preserved part of the Roman acqueduct which supplied water to Nîmes. Return to Avignon and the evening is at leisure.

Day 6: Avignon → Luberon → Avignon
After breakfast, walk to the Avignon Tourist Office, 6 minutes from the hotel, to start your excursion.

Discover Roussillon, the famous perched village, located on a rocky promontory, dominating the ochre quarries. Nicknamed the “Provencal Colorado”, there is a surprising amoung of rich warm colour in these unusual cliffs! Enjoy an open-air provençal market on Thursdays, a must-do in Provence! Next step is Gordes, classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France, famous for the architecture with dry stones and its “bories”. You will enjoy an incredible panoramic viewpoint for a photo stop.

Fall in love with Fontaine de Vaucluse and discover the resurgence of the Sorgue river: it hasn’t revealed its secrets yet and many speleologists have searched in vain the exact depth of the well. Return to Avignon and the evening is at leisure.

Day 7: Avignon → Aix-en-Provence
After breakfast, check out from the hotel in Avignon and meet your driver in the hotel lobby for your transfer to the train station. Board your TGV train to Aix en Provence, whre a representative will escort you to your hotel.

Day 8: Aix-en-Provence
Take advantage of a free day in Aix en Provence.

Alternatively, hire a car for the day and visit areas such as Arles, once a metropolis of Roman Gaul; the city of Nîmes, built in a remarkable way around and with its Roman monuments; Baux de Provence labelled among the “Most Beautiful Villages of France”.

Day 9: Aix-en-Provence → Cassis & Marseille → Aix-en-Provence
At around 11:30am pick-up in front of Aix en Provence tourist office to start your day excursion. Discover the little port of Cassis and its calanques listed by Unesco as park world heritage for its white cliffs and turquoise water. Then you will reach the highest sea cliff in Europe named Cape Canaille

located 400 metres above sea level to enjoy an exceptional view over the bay. Free time at leisure for lunch in the village, relax on the beach or board on a motor boat for a 45min mini-cruise in the main creeks.

Later, you will enjoy a drive to Marseille and the old port. Then visit Notre Dame de la Garde Basilica and discover a panoramic view on the Phocean city. Also the Abbey Saint Victor and the crypt which houses 4th century marble sarcophagus. Enjoy free time to walk around the most ancient village of Marseille, the “Panier”. Explore the new museum of Marseille, the Mucem, the Villa Mediterrannée and reach the Fort Saint John and the cathedral La Major. Your driver will drop you off at Aix-en-Provence tourist Office.

Day 10: Aix-en-Provence → Lyon
After breakfast, check out from the hotel in Aix-en-Provence and meet your driver in the hotel lobby for your transfer to the train station. Board your TGV train to Lyon, where a representative will escort you to your hotel.

Day 11: Lyon
After enjoyed a nice breakfast, time for a walking tour with a local guide of Lyon to discover the narrow streets of the old town, quartier de la Croix-Rousse and Notre Dame de Fourvière and many more monuments.
